The HPLF is the central UN body for the coordination of global sustainability policy. At this year's meeting, participants discussed the relevance of scientific input – particularly in relation to complex issues where a socio-political consensus is lacking and stakeholders are unwilling to respond. The SPS2030 Working Group on Mobility and the Humboldt-Viadrina Governance Platform hosted a trialogue on 19 June 2019. Attended by researchers and representatives from business, policymaking and civil society, the event focussed on key issues for a broad transition towards sustainable mobility and transportation.  

What strategies can be deployed to foster sustainable consumption in, with and by Germany?This question was addressed at a workshop organized and hosted by the Science Platform Sustainability 2030 on 13–14 June in Berlin. What do young people think about the working world of tomorrow? This was the focus of a visioning workshop attended by 25 young people in Potsdam on 17 June.
